Seagate Mach.2 comes with two actuators. The technology doubles the IOPS the drive can sustain, thus achieving a 1.8x to 1.9x throughput increase. This literally means, the Exos 2X14 increases IOPS from 80 or so of a single-actuator Exos 14TB drive to around 160, while significantly improving the throughput on large sequential IO from 261MB/sec to about 483MB/sec.
